Custom Packaging Boxes in Lahore: Was the Upgrade Actually Worth It?
I sold in plain brown boxes for two years. Then a customer commented "yeh to sabzi wala carton lag raha hai" on an Instagram post. Two months later I ordered Custom packaging boxes in Lahore and never went back.
But here's the honest version. It's not free.
The first cost is the die. That's the cutting shape for your box size. Once made, it's yours and they reuse it. But the first order carries the charge. Ask before you commit.
Second is the minimum quantity. Custom printing usually means 500 or 1,000 boxes minimum. If you're shipping ten parcels a week, this is the real hurdle. Not the design. The minimum.
Third is artwork. If you don't have a designer, someone has to set up your logo for print. Basic setups are sometimes free. Complicated ones cost extra.
Now, is it worth it? Depends what you sell.
Cheap items to random buyers? Probably not. Nobody remembers the box their 200-rupee phone case came in.
But clothes, skincare, gifts, candles, jewellery — the box is part of the product. People photograph it. They post it. They tell friends. Free marketing you didn't pay for.
A custom box is also usually stronger. Better board means fewer crushed parcels and fewer returns. That alone covered the price difference for me within two months.
What to watch out for. Print quality on cheap board looks washed out. Ask for a printed sample on the actual board, not a digital mockup. Digital mockups always look perfect.
If you're looking for a custom packaging boxes maker in Lahore, get quotes from three. Ask each for a sample. Ask about delivery time.
One money-saving trick. I only got custom done for the two sizes I use most. Kept plain boxes for the rest. Nobody noticed.
