Europe's Creator Economy Expected to Experience Robust Growth by 2032, CMI Reveals at Paris Creator Week
Paris/Global, December 2025 — Europe's creator economy is projected to expand at an exceptional pace over the coming years, according to the latest research released by Coherent Market Insights (CMI) during Paris Creator Week 2025, where the company participated as the Official Knowledge Partner. The study highlights the increasing influence of digital creators and the rapid transformation of the region's creator ecosystem.
CMI's Europe Creator Economy Market report estimates the market size at US$ 32,843.1 million in 2025 and forecasts it to reach US$ 157,269.7 million by 2032, representing nearly five times its current value. France continues to be a major contributor to regional growth, with the country's creator economy expected to increase from US$ 8,144.5 million in 2025 to US$ 38,590.8 million by 2032.
The report's findings were presented during the panel discussion "State of the Art: Creator Economy in Europe," led by Raj Shah, CEO & Founder of Coherent Market Insights. The session featured industry leaders including Thomas Angerer (BeInfluence), Camille Grandguillotte (Kolsquare), Saruul Krause-Jentsch (Spotify), and Jessica Williams (Shopify). Discussions focused on the changing dynamics of creator monetization, digital commerce, platform innovation, and the regulatory environment shaping the European creator economy.
France's Creator Community Continues to Grow
According to CMI's research, France has witnessed steady growth in its monetized creator population. The number of creators earning revenue increased from 303,648 in 2024 to 348,058 in 2025, with projections indicating the figure will rise to approximately 1,478,575 by 2032. The report attributes this expansion to the increasing professionalization of content creation and the growing demand for creator-led digital experiences.
The study also highlights the growing popularity of white-label content creation, where creators develop branded content that is published through corporate-owned platforms instead of their personal social media channels. This model is becoming an increasingly valuable strategy for businesses seeking authentic digital engagement.
Merchandise and Alternative Revenue Channels Gain Importance
The research points to a growing role for e-commerce in strengthening creator businesses across Europe. Platforms such as Shopify, Spreadshirt, and print-on-demand solutions are helping creators launch branded merchandise and connect with customers worldwide.
In France, products such as clothing, books, accessories, and lifestyle merchandise are becoming important sources of revenue while helping creators build stronger relationships with their audiences.
CMI also found that creators are increasingly diversifying their income beyond advertising. Subscription services, paid memberships, educational courses, digital products, direct-to-consumer sales, and community-supported monetization are becoming mainstream. Features including tipping and exclusive membership programs are enabling creators to establish more sustainable revenue streams. Meanwhile, brands continue to collaborate with micro and niche creators because of their authentic content and highly engaged audiences.
Factors Supporting Future Market Expansion
Panelists identified several trends expected to accelerate the growth of Europe's creator economy. The increasing popularity of short-form video, stronger partnerships between brands and creators, and the continued professionalization of content creators are contributing significantly to market development.
Other important growth drivers include rising internet penetration, widespread smartphone usage, improved digital payment systems, and growing consumer interest in premium digital content. Together, these factors are creating new opportunities for creators to expand their businesses across multiple online platforms.
Commenting on the findings, Raj Shah stated that CMI remains committed to providing reliable market intelligence that helps industry participants understand emerging creator business models, revenue opportunities, and long-term market trends.
