U4GM Diablo 4 Tips S13 Obols and Obducite Farm
If you've spent any real time in Diablo 4 lately, you've probably felt the squeeze. Obols disappear fast, and Obducite never seems to last long once you start pushing upgrades. That's why a lot of players are chasing weird dungeon setups and odd menu interactions instead of doing the usual grind. I've seen people talk about it like some secret trick, but it's really just a messy system exploit that can turn a normal run into a stash-filling loop if you line things up right. If you're still sorting gear and mats, having a few extra D4 items on hand can make the whole process feel a lot less punishing.
Setting Up the Run
The first thing you need is the right War Plans node unlocked. Branching Pathways is the one people keep mentioning, because it lets you choose modifiers between dungeon layers. That matters more than it sounds. Before you even start the dungeon, set your War Plan objective to Infernal Hordes. Do not enter it. Just leave it sitting there. That prompt is what seems to nudge the game into the broken state later on. After that, grab an Escalating Nightmare Sigil and run the first two layers like you normally would. No tricks yet. Just clear fast and move on.
The Reward Check That Makes It Work
When you finish the second layer, the game offers a third-layer modifier. This is where the whole thing lives or dies. You want to see either Obols Reserve or Obducite Mine. If neither one shows up, most players just drop the sigil and start over. No point forcing a bad run. If you do get one of those options, go into the third layer and sweep the place clean. Open every chest. Grab every cache. That's the part people focus on, because the boss is not the target here. In fact, killing it too soon can cut the loop short and waste the setup.
Resetting The Dungeon
Once the side loot is gone, pull up the map and use the War Plan teleport button. This is the odd bit. Instead of sending you where it should, the game can glitch and dump you right back at the entrance. When that happens, check the dungeon again. If the chests and mobs have respawned, you're in business. If not, click the teleport again. Sometimes it takes two tries. Sometimes it takes more. It feels clunky, and honestly, that's normal for this exploit. People keep doing it because once it clicks, the whole dungeon can refill and you get another round of mats without starting from scratch.
What Players Are Actually Getting Out Of It
That's why this method has spread so fast. It's not just about chasing one resource. It helps with both the gambling economy and the Masterworking grind, which is a big deal if your build still needs tuning. You can farm, reset, and keep moving without the usual dead time between runs. Blizzard will probably smooth this out sooner or later, so most players are jumping on it while it still works. If you're trying to stay ahead without wasting hours on dull farming, this is one of those moments where it pays to buy cheap D4 items and use every shortcut the game accidentally leaves open.
